CONSCIO FIT CLIENT SPOTLIGHT:

Meet Tess and baby Paige! After a challenging introduction to motherhood off the back of her first birth, @tessy_evans openly shares that it took years for her to feel strong enough mentally and physically to endure another birthing experience again. Tess first described to me that her second birth of her daughter Paige was “healing” (on levels that no one but only she could truly understand). Her second newly postpartum experience has been completely transformative for her, and for so many reasons and in so many ways she has shown herself and others that her experiences do not define her. The woman and mother I know now is so contrasting to the version of Tess that she describes herself as once being, which is a true testament to her strength, resilience and personal growth over these past few months in particular. Thankyou for showing up every week and putting your all into each session Tess, you truly are setting the most important example for yourself and your babies! I am so inspired by you and all that you are and you achieve. If you could go back in time, I hope that you’d tell yourself just how good it gets x

What is your why?: I have always loved exercise and team sports. After a traumatic birth with my first and some birth injuries including spine and nerve damage in my legs, reconnecting to my body and rediscovering strength and capability is really empowering. After my second baby, it pushed me even more to move my body and be fit so I can be a positive, healthy role model for my kids.

How does exercise make you feel?: It calms my mind and gives me such a sense of achievement and empowerment in my own body and abilities.

Because of exercise ‘I can’: have the energy and strength to be present and involved with my kids every day.

What would you tell other women who are struggling to find the confidence to exercise?: Be positive in how you talk to yourself and give yourself grace to just start. It’s going to be confronting and bring up hard emotions at the start. But push through that and trust it will get better. Just moving your body can be the starting goal.
